Volunteer work brings benefits!

We got a free ride in a hot air balloon! It only went up about 100 feet, but it was still a rush to be off the ground and see the city. I almost saw my house from where we were.

As i was checking my yahoo account, this picture caught my eye..... My first thought was "WHAT?! Are thoses heart boxers!" than i thought I HAVE to read this article. Turns out that the soldier who is in his pink boxers (his boxers said "I love NY")and a red T-shirt rushed out of bed to help his soldiers who being attacked by Tailban soldiers. The soldiers were on duty for 24 hours and it was HIS turn to sleep.The soldier was afraid he was going to lose his job, but he has been reassured that his job will be safe.His dedication was recogized by his troops and his country.
I thought he has to be one of the best soldiers, i mean he is completely visible to get shot at with his red shirt and he is in no condition to out run anyone in flip flops. If only we could serve other people like this soldier. What a great Christlike attribute that he posses and how i need to pay it forward to others as well. We are on this earth to preach the gospel and serve others! I was extremely happy when i read what this soldier did! Go United States of America! I salute this man!

Pirate Bridal Shower

The place where the bridal shower took place. The dating and courtship teacher built this in his back yard and lets students come over and hang out in it. My roommate Caci said that he encouraging people to come on dates to his ship. He has years of pirate stuff in there. A bed, hats, pictures, lantern, jewelry etc... it was so much fun!

Laundry room sleep over

Our laundry room is warm and most importantly, it has a lock on it. We thought it would be a great idea to sleep in it at least one night before we left college!

Spring Ball

My friend Jordan asked me to go to Spring Ball. This is our group (left to right: Mike, Charlotte, Lisa, Jordan, Amanda(my roommate) and Jess).

For our day date we finger painted movie titles, but we added a little twist. We should of called it Curses with finger paint. Everyone had to draw a deformity and do it through out the activity. For instance: my curse or deformity was every time i used the color green i had to say "Winner, winner chicken dinner" and my date Jordan had to use his elbows instead of his hands. It was a really fun date and we had a great time!
